Laboratory for the Synthesis and Study of Biologically Active Derivatives of Amino Acids and Peptides
The laboratory focuses on the development and application of efficient synthetic methods for amino acid and peptide derivatives to obtain novel biologically active compounds. The main research directions include:
- Design of pharmaceuticals for the treatment or prevention of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases
- Evaluation of synthesized compounds for anticholinesterase and antioxidant activity
- Docking studies of dehydroamino acid and peptide derivatives with acetylcholinesterase and butyrylcholinesterase enzymes
- Investigation of the relationship between chemical structure and biological properties
